Jackie  A. Woods, 64, of Smithville, MO passed away June 11, 2018.

 

She was born on March 11, 1954 in Monmouth, IL, the middle of 7 children born to Max and Dorothy (Eisiminger) Armstrong.   In 1972 she graduated from Warren County High School in Monmouth, IL.  In 1976 she graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and received her CPA
in 1979.  Jackie worked as a corporate controller for several companies.  

 

In September 1981, Jackie married John Woods in Arlington Heights, IL.  After their marriage they lived in Illinois, Colorado and in 1985 they moved to Smithville, MO where they made their home.

 

Jackie’s passions were her love of Jesus Christ, oil painting and horses.  She started riding horses almost as soon as she could walk.  Jackie was a member of
Kearney Saddle Club and the Smithville Kiwanis Club.  

 

 She was preceded in death by her parents. 

 

Jackie is survived by her husband John Woods; brothers and sisters Anne (Ben) McIntosh, David (Mary Ann) Armstrong, Judy (Steve) Mahoney, Steve (Mel) Armstrong, Elizabeth (Dirk) Armstrong-Iglehart and Kent (Jen) Armstrong; 18 nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.  

 

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, June 18th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.                                                                                                                                                                                 
Funeral Service:  1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 19th with visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.

Burial:  Community of Smithville Memorial Cemetery.
