Freddie Aitkens

Freddie Braden Aitkens, 80, of Plattsburg, MO passed away June 4, 2023. 

He was born on July 20, 1942, to Fredrick and Alice (Maddox) Aitken in Plattsburg, MO where he grew up and graduated from high school.  Freddie served his country in the U.S. Army, alongside his cousin Joe Mitchell. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Plattsburg, where he built his home and lived for the remainder of his life.   

Freddie retired from CertainTeed after 40 years of faithful service.  He also owned and operated Good Times Bar & Grill in Trimble, MO for several years.  Freddie enjoyed hunting, watching and cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs, and loved being outside tinkering.  Most of all he enjoyed being with family and friends, throwing birthday bashes, and hosting bonfires.   

He was preceded in death by his wife Faith Aitkens; his brother Jerry, sisters Betty, Catherine, Josephine, Donna Sue, Shirley, and Berthie. 

Freddie is survived by his sons Ronnie Aitkens and Paul Aitkens and wife Amber; grandchildren Rachel Aitkens and Ronnie Aitkens and wife Callie; great-grandchildren Merci, Brianna, Mikaela, Liam, and Hattie Mae; sisters Judy, Bonnie, Snookie, and Patty; other relatives and many friends.   

Visitation: 2:00-3:00 p.m. with Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. followed by Military Honors Sunday, June 11th, all at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Smithville, MO.
