Frances Kay (George) Brooks, better known by family and friends as Frankie, age 70, passed away on January 18, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospital. Frankie was born February 9, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri to William Audrey George and Dorothy Ann (McGrath) Dickerson. 

Frankie will forever be remembered by her two children, daughter Catherine Robinson and husband Clifford and son William “Chip” Brooks and wife Jill. She had three grandsons Zane Robinson, Cash and Briar Brooks whom she loved very much. Frankie leaves behind a sister, Barbara Martin, brothers, James “Jim” George and wife Carol, Kelly Dickerson and two sister in law(s) Elizabeth George and Kathy George. There are also three adorable cats, Bob, Thelma, Louise as well as nieces, nephews, lifelong friends and the strangers she hadn’t met yet.  

To have known Frankie was a privilege, to have loved her was an honor and we are fortunate enough to call her a friend.  

Frankie is preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy, brother(s) Donald “Butch”, William Audrey Jr. “Bill”, and Michael “Mike” George.  

Frankie could be found working at Smithville Flowers, Michaels, Wally’s pastry shop, Lowes, Aunt Mary’s cookies, Family Tree, Smithville Lake, Yardworks, and Mitchell’s greenhouse just to name a few. 

Frankie loved attending her grandson’s baseball games and cattle shows. Her hobbies included cooking/baking, quilting/sewing and gardening. She loved to create and used her imagination to come up with the most thoughtful and beautiful items just to give them to people she loved. Frankie also loved to travel and always spoke about seeing something new and wondering what was over the next horizon. She loved going to the beach. Her travels took her to Arkansas, California, Colorado, Wyoming, Texas, Ireland (twice) Great Britain, Wales, and Scotland. More than anything Frankie loved to be with her lifelong friends and family.
