Dennis Ray Powell, 60, of St. Joseph, MO, formerly of Smithville, MO passed away, October 21, 2020.

Dennis Ray Powell was born on October 30, 1959 to Robert Carrol and Wanda Christine (Lash) Powell in Smithville. Dennis grew up and attended school in Smithville.

On December 9, 1994 he was united in marriage to Melissa Eckert. After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph, MO where they made their home.He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Christopher Ray Powell.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Melissa; son, Nicholas Powell; brothers, Garry Powell, Ronald Powell, and Curt Powell; sister, Ruth Ann Hughes; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Faye Eckert; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside Service: 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 27th at Reed Cemetery, Trimble, MO.
