David Henry Bonner, 50, of Smithville, MO formerly of Johnstown, PA, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017.

 

He was born on November 1, 1967 to James Leroy and Kathryn Eileen (Laughlin) Bonner in Johnstown, PA where he grew up and graduated from Johnstown High School.  David received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Johnstown, PA.

 

On May 16, 1992, he was united in marriage to Alesia “Lisa” Lynn Harker.  Once married, they lived in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Ohio and in 2014 they moved to Smithville, Missouri.  

 

Dave worked for several banks and was currently employed with UMB Bank in Kansas City, MO as the Vice President, Director of Operations.  He was an avid Raiders fan who enjoyed woodworking, home improvement projects and golfing.  Dave was a talented sports videographer, wanting to capture every proud moment of Noah and Nathan. 

 

He attended Grace Community Church in Smithville.  Dave’s life was guided by his strong Christian belief.  He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, family man and friend.  

 

Dave was preceded in death by his father James Bonner and grandmother Verna Laughlin.

 

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lisa Bonner; sons Noah and Nathan Bonner; mother Kathy Bonner; brother Eric Bonner and wife Donna; great-aunt Shirley Hostetler; father and mother-in-law Lee and Carol Harker; brother-in-law Brian Harker and wife Denise; sister-in-law Michele Yoder; four nieces and nephews 
Kaitlin, Kyle, Brandon, and Kayla; several special aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.     

 

Memorial Service:  3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9th with visitation following until 5:00 p.m. at Grace Community Church, Smithville 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the David Bonner Memorial Fund c/o Citizen Bank and Trust, Smithville.
