Cleta Roy, 90, of Smithville, MO passed away March 4, 2021.  

She was born on December 24, 1930 to David and Beatrice (Jones) Lizar in Smithville, MO. Cleta was raised in Paradise, MO and graduated from Smithville High School.  

On December 29, 1948 she was united in marriage to Delk Roy. After their marriage they lived in Smithville, Leavenworth, KS, Sandstone, MN and returned to Smithville where they made their home. Delk passed away on December 30, 2018. 

Cleta volunteered at Spelman Memorial Hospital, enjoyed crafting and most of all she loved being a homemaker.  

She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters Jane Moore and Peggy Huntley and brother Thomas Lizar.  

Cleta is survived by her son David Roy and wife Carol; daughter Deborah Gilsdorf and husband Ben; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  

Private Family Burial will be held at Community of Smithville Memorial Cemetery.
