Bettie James, 78, of Plattsburg, MO passed away February 24, 2022.

She was born on October 19, 1943 to Burnell and Minnie (Patton) Cundiff in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky where she grew up and attended school.

In 1960 she was united in marriage the Ersil F. James. After their marriage they lived in Edgerton, MO and Plattsburg, MO.

Bettie was a dedicated nurses aid at Beverly Manor in Smithville for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Florene, Joyce and Edith Mae; brother, Jessie; and daughter-in-law, Tonya James.

She is survived by four sons, Mike James, Sacville, WI, Billy James and Karen Johnson, Hamilton, MO, Goebel James and wife Sherri, Edgerton, MO, and Eric James and wife Lisa, Plattsburg, MO; grandchildren, Tyler, Joshua, Andrew, Piper, Megan, Jennifer, Ashley, Kaleb, Julia, and Zachary; six great-grandchildren, Kolt, Nicholas, Mason, Ruthie, Paige, and Blake; other relatives and many friends. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
