Emmett O. Auxier

Emmett Auxier, 98, of Gower, MO passed away, Wednesday, September 26, 2012.

He was born on October 25, 1913 to George Curtis and Annie Edgar (McQueen) Auxier near Frazier, MO. He attended school at Burnett School near Gower, MO.

On May 4, 1935 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Emma White. After their marriage they farmed near Gower where they made their home. His wife, Dorothy, passed away February 19, 2003.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Floyd, Paul, Minor, Cecil, Ray, Wallace and Chestley, sisters, Sylvia and Anna Bell, and one great-granddaughter, Christina.

Emmett is survived by his son, Norman “Dump” Auxier and Carol Proffit-Auxier, of the home, son, Charles Auxier; daughters, Ruth Gates and Linda Auxier; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; brothers, Robert and Franklin, and sisters, June, Nellie and Elanor; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29^th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Gower, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial: Allen Cemetery
