Elva Dodson
Elva Dodson, 87, of Kansas City, MO passed away, May 29, 2025.
She was born on September 23, 1937 to Richard Walker and Victoria (Dean) Lively in Bass, AR. Elva grew up in Bass, AR and attended school in Mount Judea, AR.
On December 2, 1952 she was united in marriage to James Lewell Dodson. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City where they made their home.
She was an active member of the Nashua Church of Christ. Elva loved her grandchildren, cooking, crossword puzzles, going to garage sales, and drinking coffee.
Elva was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Edna Lea Campbell.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Jerry (Letha) Dodson, Sharon (Craig) Miller, and Richard (Kathryn) Dodson; grandchildren, Angela (Duane) Heldenbrand, Scott Dodson, Andrea (Luke) Langton, Nathan (Megan) Miller, Shelby Dodson, and Ryan Dodson; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Thelma Hipple; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1st at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO.
Private Family Graveside Service at Paradise Cemetery.

My deepest sympathy for the loss of You loved one. When her Sister, Edna Lea, passed it was devastating for me because we were best friends. Praying for the Family and friends. God will heal the pain You feel.
