EDWARD V. WOLFE
Edward V. Wolfe, 78, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away, Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at St. Luke?s Northland Hospital.
He was born on October 24, 1926 to Edward Victor, Sr. and Tillie (Wix) Wolfe in Claycomo, Mo. Ed grew up in Smithville and later graduated from Smithville High School. He then served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. After his honorable discharge he returned to Smithville.
On August 30, 1948 he was united in marriage to Ruby S. Reineke. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City North where they made their home.
Ed worked for Independent Electric for over 45 years retiring in 1991.
He was a member of the Barry Christian Church where he served as Property Chairman. He was also a member of IBEW Local 124, and was active in Boy Scout Troop 247 in Gashland, Mo.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wayne W. Wolfe.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby, of the home, one son, Ronnie Wolfe and wife, Theresa, Kansas City, Mo., one daughter, Marsha Marshall and husband, Steve, Nixa, Mo., two grandchildren, Jason Wolfe, Independence, Mo., and Krista Hansotia and husband, Mark, Litchfield Park, Az., two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Jaden Wolfe, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 1st at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, Mo.
Burial: Ridgely Cemetery, Ridgely, Mo.
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Smithville.
Donations may be made to the Barry Christian Church.
