Edward Leon Smith
Edward Leon Smith, of Trimble, MO passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 at his home.
He was born on March 6, 1937 in New Cambria, MO. He graduated from Brookfield High School. He served his county in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army where he was an MP and a sharp shooter and marksman.
Ed worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, North Kansas City Police Department and Yellow Freight as a Dock Foreman. Ed retired as the Director for Security for Interstate Underground in Kansas City. Ed had his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying, hunting, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Blanche (Vobornik) Smith, sons, Edward Brent Smith and Thomas Edward Smith.
Ed is survived by his daughter, Cindi Crissman; brother, Farrell Smith and wife Janet; sisters, Patricia Enyeart and husband Leland, Connie Pulliam and husband Donnie; other relatives and many friends.
Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2014 at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
