Edmond Haddock

 

Edmond Haddock, 89, of Smithville, MO, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at a hospital in Clinton, MO.

He was born on April 26, 1922 to Roy Edward and Kate (Sixkiller) Haddock in Westville, OK where he grew up. Edmond graduated from Chilocco Indian School in Chilocco, OK.

On December 15, 1943 he was united in marriage to Judy Nelson. After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home. His wife, Judy passed on October 7, 1993.

Edmond worked for Kindred Chevrolet in Smithville, MO and retired from K/W Dart

in Kansas City, MO.

He enjoyed spending time at the lake with his wife, Judy and time with his friends at Hickory Hollow Resort in Tightwad, MO. Edmond was the Honorary Mayor of Hickory Hollow.

Edmond was also preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Wayne Roy Haddock; brother, Floyd Haddock and sister Effie Clarke.

He is survived by two sons, Gerald Haddock and wife, Elissa and Darrell Haddock and wife, Mary; one daughter, Nancy Cazzell and husband, Rod; two granddaughters, Stephanie Burchette and Andrea Cazzell; three great-grandchildren, Krashel, Kerstin and Jesse Ryan; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside Service and Burial: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31st at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery, Kansas City, MO

Donations to the Good Shepherd Hospice or Twin Lakes Hospice

    We affectionately called Ed “The Mayor” of Hickory Hollow in Tightwad, Mo. He was known and endeared by many who passed through and loved by all who came to know his kind spirit and infectious giggle. We will miss you my friend and remeber you always.
