Ed Cummings
Edward Wayne Cummings, 71, of Kansas City, MO passed away April 2, 2018.
He was born on June 15, 1946 to Earl and Paralee (Bridges) Cummings in Erick, Oklahoma. Ed grew up and attended school in Visalia, California. He then served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
On October 22, 1965 he was united in marriage to Sharon Darlene Rogers. After their marriage they lived in Nashua, MO where they made their home.
Ed owned and operated Neighborhood Plumbing. He attended Kansas City Church. Ed enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, gardening, woodworking, and most of all spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Paralee Cummings and his brother Carl Cummings.
Ed is survived by his wife Sharon Cummings; sons Bradley Cummings and wife Connie, Brentley Cummings and wife Machelle, Kenneth Cummings and wife Kellee and Casey Cummings and wife Niki; grandchildren Felisha, Megan, Joshua, Hannah, Kasey, Jeremy, Cadence, Keagan, Jasmine, Jesse, JoBeth; great-grandchildren Makynah, Jaxon, Hunter, Mellaine, and Chase; brother Robert Cummings; sister Earldean Mayfield; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5th with visitation 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
Burial with Military Honors Ridgely Cemetery
