Duane Palmer Chancellor
Duane Palmer Chancellor, 73, of Smithville, MO passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012.
He was born on January 18, 1939 to Olen Warren and Biddy (Palmer) Chancellor in Agency, MO. Duane grew up in Independence, MO and graduated from Van Horn High School in 1957.
On April 23, 1994 he was united in marriage to Paula Renee Howard. After their marriage they lived in the Kansas City area and in 2002 they moved to Smithville, MO where they made their home.
He worked for Major Brands in North Kansas City, MO where he retired after 20 years of service. Duane was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Chiefs.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sisters.
He is survived by his wife Paula; daughter, Duonna Butts; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two dogs, Kaycee and Spanky; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Shirley Howard; sister-in-law, Candace Ramos and husband John; numerous nieces and nephews including Roy and Marsha Chenault, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service: 6:30 p.m. Friday April 20th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation following until 8:30 p.m.
