Dorothy N. (Johnson) Bower

Dorothy N. Bower, 84, of rural Hemple, MO, passed away, Thursday, July 24, 2008.

She was born on November 17, 1923 to Ben H. and Elsa Mae (Doak) Johnson near Osborn, Mo. and graduated from Stewartsville High School.

On September 29, 1942 she was united in marriage to George F. Bower. After their marriage they lived near Hemple where they farmed and made their home. Her husband preceded her in death on December 5, 2007.

Dorothy was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Melvin and Darrell Johnson; sister Evelyn Campbell and grandson Donnie Herpel.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Herpel and husband, Don; grandson, John Herpel and wife, Michele; great-grandsons, Brent and Cody Herpel all of Hemple; brothers, Carl B. Johnson and Dean Johnson and wife, Viola, all of Cameron; sisters, Vera Jones, Boulder, Colorado and Ann Beckett, Cameron; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

By her request, no scheduled services or visitation.
