Dorothy Maxine “Mickey” (Moore) Schuster

Dorothy Maxine “Mickey” Schuster, 88 of Gower, MO passed away, Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at her home.

She was born on August 28, 1924 to Carl G. and Dulcie Ray (Sparks) Moore in St. Joseph, MO where she grew up.  In 1938 her family moved to Gower and in 1942 Mickey graduated from Gower High School.

On May 14, 1955 she was united in marriage to Jewell C. “Bill” Schuster.  After their marriage they lived in Gower where they made their home.  Her husband, Bill, passed away September 29, 2010.

Mickey was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gower.  She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and taking care of her family.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers-law, Nick Spaeth and Shorty Schuster.

She is survived by her three daughters, Carol Uzunoglu Taylor and husband Andy, Termo, CA, Kathie Brown and husband John, Kansas City, MO, Lisa Lanning and husband Joe, Gower, MO; one son, Steven C. Schuster and wife Terri, Gower, MO; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Louise Spaeth and Dorothy Schuster; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service:  10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25^th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.

Burial:  Allen Cemetery

Visitation:  6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
