Dorothy Maxine “Dolly” (Mace) Harless
Dolly M. Harless, 85, of Plattsburg, MO, passed away, Saturday, March 7, 2009.
She was born on June 25, 1923 to Asa William and Anna (Boor) Mace in St. Joseph, Missouri. She grew up in St. Joseph and graduated from Central High School in 1941.
On June 28, 1941 she was united in marriage to Leo N. Harless. After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph. In 1955 they moved to Plattsburg where they made their home. Her husband, Leo, passed away, November 13, 1995.
Dolly was a member of the South Park Methodist Church in St. Joseph. Dolly enjoyed going to the Senior Center in Plattsburg and playing cards.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Micheal Farr, two brothers, Bob Davis and Billy L. Mace, Sr.
Dolly is survived by her son, Gary Harless; daughters, Pat Farr and husband John, and Debbie Smith and husband, John, all of Plattsburg; six grandchildren, Shawn Farr and wife Debbie, Jason Smith and wife Sarah, Brian Smith and wife Jodie, Darin Smith, Sheri Thompson and husband Bryan, and Mindy Harless; nine great grandchildren, Dustin, Travis, Amanda, Keirstyn, Kyleigh, Brayden, Ava, Adyson, and Riley; brothers, James Davis, LaVern Still, and Leon Mace; sisters, Jackie E. Saville, Carol “Pedie” Whetstine, and Betty Bechtold; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 10th at the First Baptist Church in Plattsburg.
