DOROTHY UNTERKIRCHER

Dorothy Lee Ritchheart Unterkircher, 84, of St. Joseph, Mo., formerly of Agency, Mo., passed away Monday, June 6, 2005 at a nursing home in St. Joseph.

She was born on October 8, 1920 in Frazier, MO. Dorothy grew up in the Agency and St. Joseph communities.

Dorothy worked a number of years at J.C. Penney.

She was a member of McCarthy Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was a department director. She also helped organize the Homebound Ministry where she continued to serve in the ministry.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Ritchheart and Oscar Unterkircher, her parents, Myrtle and Bate Barton, five brothers, Arthur, William, Robert, Shelby, and Cecil Barton, an infant daughter, Denice Ritchheart, a step-son, a granddaughter, and a great-grandson.

She is survived by sons, Wayne Ritchheart and wife, Janet, Agency, Mo., Don Ritchheart, St. Joseph, Mo., three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and seven step-great-grandchildren, one sister, Helen Ruoff and husband, Glenn, St. Joseph, Mo., sister-in-law, Ida Williams, Kansas City, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Burial: Agency Cemetery, Agency, Mo.
