Dorothy Lee Jeffrey

Dorothy Lee Jeffrey, 89, of Trimble, MO, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008.

Mrs. Jeffrey was born on June 30, 1918 in Plattsburg, MO. She was a life long member of the Stony Point Presbyterian Church and served on the cemetery board.

She was a graduate dental nurse of the Missouri Western Dental College in Kansas City, MO. She was a dental nurse for the late Dr. A.F. Schapper for eighteen years.

Her first husband Staff Sergeant Elvis E. Hawkins died in France in 1944. In 1974 she married John H. Jeffrey, Sr., who passed away in 1980.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Pearl (Cartmill) Slayton and a sister Calvena Elliott.

Survivors include a step-daughter and husband, Mary and John Withers, Independence, MO and a step-son John H. Jeffrey, Jr., Springfield, MO.

At her request, direct cremation, and no services.

Donations may be made to the Stony Point Church or Cemetery.
