Dorothy Jean Enslow
Dorothy Enslow, 88, of Dearborn, MO, passed away, Friday, September 23, 2011 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.
She was born on January 11, 1923 to Roy and Mamie Ambie (Quinn) Divelbiss near Gower, and graduated from Gower High School.
Dorothy was married to Earl C. McCamis for 28 years, they lived in Kansas City where they raised their three children. In 1978 she was united in marriage to Lyle Enslow. After their marriage they made their home in Gladstone. He passed away in 1983. She continued to reside in Gladstone and in 1999 moved to Dearborn.
Dorothy retired from Farmland Industries in 1988 after 25 years. One of her greatest joys in life was cooking for her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Velma Jackson, Helen Everett, and Joan Brown, and brother, Howard Divelbiss.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Deena McCamis and Paul Coleman, David McCamis, and Kyle McCamis and wife, Tammy; grandchildren, Adam, Lauren and Kelli; great-grandchildren, Colin, Adalyn, Talon, Brielle, Kamrey and Avery; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Private Family Inurnment: Allen Cemetery, Gower.
