Dorothy Jane (Boydston) Woods
Our sweet mother, Dorothy Jane Boydston Woods, of Smithville, MO passed away, April 4, 2014.
She was the daughter of Janie (Sinclair) and Alva Boydston. Mother was intelligent, hard-working, fun loving and loved her three daughters, brother, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart. She graduated from Smithville High School and William Jewell College. She loved reading, sewing, puzzles, traveling and her dogs.
She leaves her brother Don Boydston; daughters, Nancy Jane Woods, Kathy (Mike) Shirley, Valerie (Dan) Helm; grandchildren, Heather Helm (Shane) Mecham, Mark (Valerie) Helm, Jeff Shirley, Janie Helm, Ann Shirley (Mark) Leymon; honorary granddaughter, Karen Goodner; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Leah, Amira and Alexander. We have been truly blessed.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 7th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial: Ridgely Cemetery.
