Doris Faye (Ballinger) Fults

Doris Faye Fults, 79, of Columbia, MO formerly of Kansas City, MO passed away December 17, 2016.

She was born on April 5, 1937 to Joseph Alton and Viola (Herdman) Ballinger.  She grew up in Smithville and graduated from Smithville High School.

On April 16, 1960 she was united in marriage to Roy Alan Fults.  After their marriage they lived in Kansas City where they made their home.  Her husband, Roy, passed away December 3, 1982.  In 1996 Doris moved to Columbia, MO.

Doris was a secretary for AT&T in Kansas City for over 20 years.  After her retirement she drove a school bus for the North Kansas City School District. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister, Geneva Deaton, and brother, Joseph Ballinger.

Doris is survived by her sons, Alan Fults and wife Cathy, and Jim Fults; grandchildren, Paul, Matt, Cody, Austin, and Shelby; great-granddaughters, Marielle and Nayvie ; sister Carol Reffett; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service:  1:00 p.m. Friday, December 23rd at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO with visitation one hour prior to the service.
