DORIS D. KELLEY

Doris Dee Kelley, 92, of Gower, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away, Saturday, December 9, 2006.

She was born on August 1, 1914 to Sam and Sarah Jane (Williams) Divelbiss near Hemple, Mo. where she attended school and grew up.

On October 22, 1959 she was united in marriage to Marion Kelley. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City, Mo., St. Joseph, Mo., Edling, Ca. and Big Lake, Mo. Her husband, Marion preceded her in death and after his death, Doris returned to St. Joseph. She later moved to the Gower Convalescent Center.

Doris worked at the State Hospital in St. Joseph for many years.

She was a member of the Independence Boulevard Christian Church in Kansas City and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star.

Doris was also preceded in death by five brothers, Clarence, Merle, George, Guy and Ivan Divelbiss and three sisters, Bessie West, Eva Martin and Floy Schuster.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 11th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, Mo. With visitation one hour prior to the service.
BURIAL: Camden Point Cemetery
