Donald Lee Herpel, Sr.
Donald Lee Herpel, Sr., 76, of Hemple, MO passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Mosaic Hospital in St. Joseph, MO.
He was born on April 12, 1940 to Herald, Sr. and Anna Mae (Jackson) Herpel in St.Joseph, MO. Don graduated from Easton High School in 1958.
On November 3, 1961 he was united in marriage to Karen Elizabeth Bower.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Herald Herpel, Jr., and Ralph Herpel; and son Donald L. Herpel, Jr.
Don is survived by his wife Karen Herpel; son John Herpel and wife Michele; grandsons Brent and Cody Herpel all of Hemple, MO; brother Ivan Herpel and wife Wanda, Gower, MO; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Private family services will be held later.

Karen, John, Shelly, Brent and Cody,My sincere condences on the lost of Donnie. I feel so lucky that I got to spend that Saturday at the hospital with Don and visiting Karen, even tho Karen didn't know I was there (-:. But I got to spend the entire day with Don which I totally enjoyed. He will be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you.Much love, Reatha
