Donald Hyatt

Donald Hyatt, 81, of Independence, MO, passed away, Monday, July 11, 2016 at his home.

He was born on November 4, 1934 in Starfield, MO.  He attended Oakdale and Hemple grade schools and Gower High School.

On June 28, 1952 he was united in marriage to Margaret Reynolds.  After their marriage they lived in Gower and later moved to Independence where they made their home.  His wife, Margaret, passed away, September 18, 2011.

Don worked for Cable-Dahmer Chevrolet in Independence for 55 years as the parts man.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Leslie James and Lucy Arnette (Carter) Hyatt, son, Glen Dale Hyatt; sister LeAnna Brown, and brother, David Hyatt.

Don is survived by his daughter, Cindy Hyatt; grandson, Jon Hyatt; brothers Rick Hyatt; sisters Mary Lee Hamby and Kathy Sodowsky and husband Glenn; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

Funeral Services:  11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16th  at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower with visitation at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home.
