Donald Hudgins

Donald Lee “Duke” Hudgins, 61, of Maysville, MO formerly of Kansas City, MO passed away at his home June 23, 2017.

 

He was born on June 18, 1956 to James Dale and Charlotte (Jones) Hudgins in Kansas City, MO where he attended school and grew up. 
Donnie lived in Kansas City and Liberty moving to Maysville with his mother in 2005.

 

Donnie was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge in Excelsior Springs and the Rebekah Lodge in Gilman City.  He loved raising chickens, even naming a few of them, and enjoyed caring for animals.  Donnie loved nature, hunting and fishing and also enjoyed country music.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, James Doyle Gates, maternal grandparents, Maurice “Bud” and Wilma Jones, aunts Carol Jones Owens and Betty Jones, and uncles Gene and Ronnie Jones.

 

Donnie is survived by his uncles, Carl Jones, Earl Jones and wife Janet, and Donnie Jones and wife Linda, all of Smithville; other aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.

 

Memorial Service:  2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 13th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.

Inurnment:  Community of Smithville Memorial Cemetery.
