Donald Dittmar

DONALD DITTMAR

Donald Dittmar, 80, of Agency, MO, went to be with Jesus, Wednesday, November 23, 2005.

He was born on March 12, 1925 to Rev. Harvey Alan and Maggie Evelyn (Noel) Dittmar in Idana, Kansas. The family later moved to Licking, Missouri where Donald graduated from high school. Donald also served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was wounded in Belgium.

On October 18, 1947 he was united in marriage to Neva Marie Lamb at the Third Baptist Church in St. Louis, MO. After their marriage they lived in St. Louis, Chillicothe, and St. Joseph, later moving to Agency where they resided for 48 years.

Donald worked for Midland Empire Sales and Service in St. Joseph for 27 years.

He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Edgerton, Mo., and was an ordained Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Vera Gillespie and her husband, T.C., sister-in-law, Doris Dittmar and daughter-in-law, Donna Dittmar.

He is survived by his wife, Neva, of the home, four children, John W. Dittmar, St. Joseph, MO, Roger L. Dittmar, Plattsburg, MO, Linda E. Martin and husband, Dave, St. Joseph, MO, Glenn E. Dittmar and wife, Rhonda, Agency, MO, grandchildren, Randy and Nicole, Donald ?Donny?, Doug and Deana, and Maggie Dittmar, Adrian Martin and Alaina Martin and David, and great-grandchildren, Haley, Kiley, Candous, Taylor, Kaine, Averi, Jackson, and Alisyn, two brothers, Robert Dittmar and wife, Irene Swansea, SC, Walter Dittmar and wife, Gloria, Ft. Worth, TX, one sister, Marie Weippert and husband, George, Moore, OK, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26th at the Agency Baptist Church, Agency, MO.
Burial with Military Honors: Agency Cemetery.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Agency Baptist Church.

Donations: Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Arrangements: Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, Mo.
