Dewayne Lee
Dewayne A. Lee, 78, of Kansas City, MO passed away, Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Pine View Manor in Stanberry, MO.
He was born on July 29, 1937 to Wayne Aldridge and Ethel May (Watson) Lee in McFall, Missouri. Dewayne grew up near Stanberry and graduated from Stanberry High School. He then served his country in the U.S. Army.
On August 29, 1975 he was united in marriage to Marian Hopkins. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City where they made their home.
Dewayne was a member of the Nashua Baptist Church.
Dewayne was a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways, retiring after 30 years. He enjoyed dancing and was an avid NASCAR fan. Dewayne was active in the neighborhood association.
Dewayne was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Brian Lee, and granddaughter, Allie.
He is survived by his wife, Marian, of the home; children, Robert (Sharon) Myers, Tammy (Joe) Cantu, Kelly (Rhonda) Myers, Connie (Troy) Kinney, Chris (Lisa) Lee, and Terri (Tip) Spencer; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Sue (Lary) Hopkins; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4th at the Nashua Baptist Church, Nashua, MO.
Inurnment at a later date: Carmack Union Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Nashua Baptist Church.
