Dennis Roy Elliott
Dennis Roy Elliott, 95, of Smithville, MO passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012.
He was born on June 20, 1916 to Roy Lee and Nora Augusta (Harms) Elliott in Carroll County, MO where he grew up and attended school.
On September 28, 1937 he was united in marriage to Leona Marie Korolewski in Minnesota. After their marriage they lived in Carroll County, MO. In 1950 they moved to Kansas City, MO and in 1965 moved to Smithville where he began farming. Leona preceded him in death on September 10, 1982. On February 26, 1986 he married Nia Ellis. They made their home in Smithville.
Dennis was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Smithville.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly Ann Elliott, and brothers and sisters, George Elliott, Pete Elliott, Helen Inscore, Nelson Elliott, and Leo Elliott.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Nia of the home; children, Priscilla Marie Ryan and husband Robert, Las Cruces, NM, and David Dennis Elliott and wife Paulette, Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren, Bill Clouse and wife Brenda, Stephanie Sharp and husband Dusty, and Cheryll Pacey and husband Joe; great-grandchildren, Kellan and Keaton Clouse; brothers, Tim Elliott and wife Linda; sisters Betty Ann Shirley and Ruby Farley; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Smithville
Burial: Resurrection Cemetery, Kansas City, MO
Rosary: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday June 13th with visitation following until 8:30 p.m. at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
