Dennis L. Babcock
Dennis Leroy “Babo” Babcock, 60, of Stewartsville, MO, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013.
He was born on June 10, 1953 to Bernard Leroy and Martha Jean (Patterson) Babcock in St. Joseph, MO where he grew up and attended school. While living in St. Joseph Dennis worked for Redstone Lumber and Garfield Lumber. In 1987 he moved to Newton, IA where he worked at McKlveen Lumber. In 2011 he moved to Stewartsville, MO.
Dennis enjoyed racing, attending classic car shows, fishing and boating.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jason Babcock.
Dennis is survived by daughter Melissa Smith; step-children Staci Hobbs and husband David, Misti Hodge and Danny Hodge; fifteen grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister Janet Dowell; step-sister, Glenda Poirer; his dog Buster, other family and many friends.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday July 3rd with visitation following until 3:30 p.m. at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
