Dennis James Campbell

Dennis James Campbell, 50, of Gower, MO passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008.

He was born on September 11, 1957 to James Howard and Estella Iola (Zimmerman) Campbell. Dennis grew up in Whitesville, MO and graduated from King City High School. He then attended Northwest Missouri State University where he received a Bachelors in Education with a major in Vocational Agriculture.

On July 30, 1977 he was united in marriage to Betty Jane Burks. After their marriage they lived in Lamoni, IA where Dennis taught school for 4 years. In 1985 they moved to Gower where they made their home. Dennis was engaged in teaching Agriculture Education and was the FFA advisor for East Buchanan School from 1985 to date. He was involved in various professional organizations where he has received many honors and awards.

Dennis was a member of the Gower Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Betty of the home; children, Jacqueline Lacy and husband, Jeremy, Maryville, MO, and Brandon Campbell of the home; sister, Ruth Elaine Wilson and husband, Ronnie, Savannah, MO; mother and father-in-law, Jack and Dixie Burks, Plattsburg, MO; brother-in-law, Jerry Burks, Wathena, KS; aunts, Joan Yuille, Savannah, MO, Judy Freeman and husband, Larry, Nixa, MO and Betty Clements, Rea, MO; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 16^th at the Gower Christian Church Antioch Fellowship Center, Gower.

Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower,

Visitation: 4:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Gower Christian Church Antioch Fellowship Center.
