Dennis “Denny” Saunders *Location Change”

Dennis “Denny” Dean Saunders, 63, of St. Joseph, MO passed away, Thursday May 6, 2021 at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, MO at 2:22 p.m.  

He was born on October 26, 1957 to Raymond Neil and Marie Anita (Evans) Saunders in St. Joseph, MO.

Mr. Saunders was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, Marie A. Saunders and Raymond N. Saunders; sisters, Donna L. Smith, Carol J. Baldwin, and Joyce .E. Long; and brother, Jerry R. Saunders.  

He is survived by his daughters, Brandi Lee Pierson (Jeff Carter) of Phoenix, AZ, Sarah Marie Saunders (Wayne Fitts), Wendy Sue Kiger (Kirby); son, Austin (Audi) Dean Saunders (Mariah) of Saint Joseph. MO; six grandchildren, Makaila Pierson of Lee’s Summit, MO, Devarius, Jaslyn, Drevin Bankston of Kansas City, MO, Jaylen, JayDa Kiger of Saint Joseph, MO; two brothers, David N. Saunders of Kansas City, MO and Robert L. Saunders of Saint Joseph, MO; longtime friends and caregivers David Petty and Mona of Saint Joseph, MO; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and his very beloved dog, Jackson-Dean.  

Due to possible rain, the Memorial Service will be held at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton Monday at 2:30 p.m.
