DENA FORTNER

Dena Rae Fortner, 38, of Gower, MO passed away Saturday, May 6, 2006 the result of a vehicle accident.

She was born on March 15, 1968 to Kenneth and Ann (Dunn) Jackson in Winchester, KS. She grew up in Atchison, KS and attended DeKalb High School.

On December 17, 1988 she was united in marriage to Devin Fortner. After their marriage they lived in Gower where they made their home. ‘

Dena and Devin owned and operated D&D Pallets in Gower.

Dena was a member of the National Poet’s Society.

She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, Kenneth and Charlene Jackson and brother-in-law, Derrick E. Fortner.

Dena is survived by her husband, Devin, son, Darrell R. Fortner, daughter, Dannette Fortner, all of the home, mother and step-father, Ann and Vince O’Neil, Las Vegas, NV, one brother, Eddie Horner, Ferrelview, MO, three sisters, Laura Blunt, Liberty, MO, Karen DiFabio, Mission Viejo, CA, and Dena Trapp, Oklahoma, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Darrell E. and Marcella Fortner, sister-in-law, Megan Fortner, all of Gower, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins, including Billy Sprauge, Gower, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 9th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
Visitation: 6:00-8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Cremation will follow the service.
