Deloris Josephine (Barnett) Tate

Deloris
Josephine (Barnett) Tate, 84, of Gower, MO passed away Monday October 5,
2015.
 

 

She
was born on May 23, 1931 to Claude Wayne and Nina Alice (Wills) Barnett in
Plattsburg, MO.
 

 

On
July 29, 1947 she was united in marriage to William Estel Tate in Kansas City,
MO.
  After their marriage they lived in
Plattsburg, Lathrop and in 1970 they moved to Gower where they made their home.

 

Deloris
and Bill along with their daughter Nina owned and operated Town and Country
Café in Gower.
  She enjoyed listening and
dancing to country music and most of all being a wife, mother, and grandmother.

 

She
was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Idona; and two brothers Wayne
and J. D. Barnett.

 

Deloris
is survived by her husband Bill Tate; children Charles Tate and wife Debbie,
Nina Dowell and husband Tim, and Janie Kahler and husband Brent; grandchildren
Shannon (Kim) Tate, Kristie (Parker) Hall, Chris (Kristie) Barnhill, Jason
(Mary) Barnhill, Kari, Khrystian, William, Riley, Addison, and Ainslie;
great-grandchildren Casey, Arlie, Courtney, Colby, Bryson, Shane, Tara, Becky,
and Kylie; other relatives and many friends.

 

Funeral
Service:
  11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9th
at Hixson-Klein Funeral Gower

Burial:  Grayson Cemetery

Visitation:  6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday October 8th
at the funeral home.
