Debra Lin

Debra Lin, 63, of Smithville, MO passed away on August 10, 2026.

She was born on December 12, 1962, to Jack and Joyce (Neal) Klein in Culver City, CA. She grew up in Perry, IA, where she graduated from high school. Debra went on to attend the University of Iowa and later transferred to Northwest Missouri State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

On December 17, 1983, she was united in marriage to David Lin. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Maryville, MO, Omaha, NE, and Annapolis, MD, before making their home in Smithville in 2002.

A dedicated member of Grace Community Church, Debra served faithfully on the worship team since 2003. She found great joy in the beach and expressed her creativity through making artwork with seashells.

Debra was preceded in death by her father, Jack.

She is survived by her loving husband, David; her daughters, Jessica Lin and Jamie Lin-Pratt; son-in-law, Erik Pratt; grandson, Braedon Koval; her mother, Joyce Klein; her brother, Mark Klein; her niece, Piper Klein and grand-nephew Oakley; her nephew, Wyatt Klein; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly.

The church will be hosting a visitation on Saturday, August 22nd at Grace Community Church in Smithville, MO from 1:30-3:00 with the Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 p.m.
