Debra Kay (Hill) Whitt
Debra Kay Whitt, 51, of Agency, MO, passed away, August 7, 2008 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
She was born on October 11, 1956 to Herbert Marshall and Mary Cathern (Fairchild) Hill in St. Joseph, MO where she grew up and in 1974 graduated from Lafayette High School. Debra then attended Methodist School of Nursing in St. Joseph where she received her Nursing Degree.
On May 7, 1976 she was united in marriage to Loren L. Whitt. After their marriage they lived in the St. Joseph area and in 1979 moved to the Gower and Agency areas where they made their home.
Debra worked as an OB Nurse for 25 years for Heartland Regional Medical Center where she had received the Nursing MVP Award. She loved to hunt, fish and garden.
She was preceded in death by her mother, her brother, Dale “Tony” Hill, and two nephews, Aaron and Dallas Hill.
She is survived by her husband, Loren, of the home, three children, Jared Whitt and wife, Priscilla, Gallatin, MO, Meleah Atha and husband, Ryan, Agency, MO, and Maryssa Whitt and Brian McCoy, Wathena, KS; five grandchildren, Harley, Bronco and Zora Whitt, Lainey McCoy and Lewis Atha; her father, Herbert M. Hill, Sr., Helena, MO; sisters, Myra Horton, Trenton, MO, Sherry Hill, Helena, MO, and Susan Merritt and husband, Troy, Amazonia, MO; brother, Herbert M. Hill, Jr., and wife, Joyce, St. Joseph, MO; sister-in-law, Sandy Hill, Gower, MO; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 1:30 p.m. Sunday, August 10th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower
Graveside Service: 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 10th McCrary Cemetery, Gallatin, MO.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday August 9th at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McCrary Cemetery.

My deepest sympathy goes out to your entire family. I am friends with Maryssa and she is such an amazing person and that definately is a compliment to her mother for raising such a smart and respectful child. Rest in peace.
