David Walters

David Keith Walters, 77, of Gower, MO passed away, October 24, 2024.

He was born on April 28, 1947 to Don and Evelyn (Crump) Walters in St. Joseph, MO. David graduated from Easton High School. He received a drafting degree from Platt College. David then served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

David worked for Kansas City Power and Light and farmed for many years. He owned and operated D&S Small Engine in Gower. David was a volunteer for the Gower Fire Department and was a bus driver for the East Buchanan School District.

David was a member of the Mt. Moriah Methodist Church near Gower, Masonic Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star. He loved to go fishing and spend time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Don and Darryl.

David is survived by his wife, Sharron of 55 years; children, Connie, Bonnie, Larry, Shawn, and Danielle; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A Private Family Service will be held at Allen Cemetery.
