David R. Tanner
David Ray Tanner, 65, of rural Gower, MO passed away, December 7, 2017 at his home.
He was born on October 3, 1952 to Robert Franklin and Leona R. (Mumford) Tanner in St. Joseph, MO. Dave grew up near Gower and graduated from Gower High School in 1971. He served his country in U.S. Army National Guard. Dave then attended Auctioneer School.
Dave was an auctioneer for many years and owned and operated Dave Tanner Auction Company. Dave loved farm life, he enjoyed riding, braking, and showing horses.
Dave worked for General Motors, and worked for Everett Quarries for several years.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Dave is survived by his son, Dallas Tanner, Kansas City, MO; and his mother, Leona Tanner, of the home; uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 13th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Inurnment: Number Six Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Number Six Cemetery.
