David R. Ballard

David R. Ballard, 76 of Cameron, MO, formerly of Smithville, MO passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012.

He was born on March 15, 1936 in Camden Point, MO, where he grew up and attended school. He then served his country in the U.S. Army.

On October 10, 1956 he was united in marriage to Clara Mae Pate. After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home. His wife, Clara, passed away in 1997. David later moved to Cameron, MO.

David was also preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Jeanette Starr, brother, Richard Ballard, and two grandchildren, Tamara Ballard and Jacob Grove.

He survived by his children, Debbie Callahan, Smithville, David Ballard, Jr. and wife, Terri, Sedalia, MO, Darrell Ballard, St. Joseph, MO, Greg Ballard and wife Stacy, Shawnee, KS, Terry Ballard, Smithville, MO, Lori Grove, Dearborn, MO, Jeff Ballard and wife, Kari, Los Angeles, CA, Shawn Ballard and wife Diane, San Diego, CA; twenty-four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Private Family Inurnment will be held at a later date.
