David Heavner

David Wayne Heavner, 54, of Kansas City, MO passed away December 19, 2023, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was born on April 30, 1969, in Kansas City, MO. David and his twin sister Dana grew up in Smithville and graduated from Smithville High School in 1987. 

David was a “jack of all trades” working with several people in the area and was also a REPO man. He was an avid deer hunter and loved being outdoors.

He is survived by his mother Janet Haddock; his twin sister Dana Heavner; his siblings Jerry Heavner, Michael Heavner, Robert (Tish) Heavner, and Deborah (Ron) Rommel; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

Visitation: 10:00-11:00 a.m. with Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m.  Saturday  December 30th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville 

Graveside Service: 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Bethany, MO

Donations may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice.
