DARYS V. MIZELL

Darys V. Mizell, 92, of Dearborn, MO passed away Friday, November 17, 2006 at her home.

She was born on December 4, 1913 to William and Malinda Hayden (Dean) Wallingford in Wallace, MO and later graduated from Dearborn High School. After her graduation she attended junior college in St. Joseph, MO to prepare for a teaching career. After two years as a teacher in her hometown of Wallace, Darys decided to take business classes in Dearborn and continued her training at a business school in Chillicothe. She then worked for a building contractor for two and a half years in St. Joseph.

On August 16, 1941 she was united in marriage to Nathan RaGene Mizell in Wichita, KS. After their marriage they lived in Wichita and later returned to the Dearborn area where they made their home. Her husband, RaGene preceded her in death on December 23, 1979.

Darys joined the Dearborn Christian Church on November 13, 1927. She served as the church organist for over 70 years.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Carr Wallingford.

Darys is survived by her son, Harlen Mizell and wife, Norma, Dearborn, granddaughter, Michelle Frakes and husband, Scott Kearney, MO, grandson, Brian Mizell and wife, Jeannie, Faucett, MO, five great-grandchildren, Ty and Reagan Frakes and Brandon, Jordan and Kylie Mizell, one sister, Velma Davidson, Leawood, KS, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, at the Dearborn Christian Church.
Burial: Dearborn Cemetery
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the Church.
