Darrell Gene Matson
Darrell Gene Matson, 65 of Easton, MO, passed away April 3, 2012 at his home.
He was born on July 4, 1946 to John H.M. and Helen M. (Lathrop) Matson in Everett, WA where he grew up and graduated from Yelm High School. Darrell then served his country in the US Army for 2 tours.
On July 12, 1987 he was united in marriage to Patricia Jo Kempf Williams. After their marriage they lived in Washington State, Arizona and later settled in Easton, MO where they made their home around their family.
Darrell worked in construction in Washington and was a correction officer in Florence, AZ and in Cameron, MO. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Washington and the NRA. Darrell was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed woodworking and loved being with his grandchildren and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Darrell Matson, Chris and Heather Williams and Matt and Kim Stanich; grandchildren, Nicholas, Aleczander, Ashlyn, Georgia Dawn, and expecting grandson; sister, Donna Olive and husband Phil; brother, Robert Matson and wife Kay; brothers and sisters-in-law including, Joyce Barton and husband David, John Kempf, Marvin Kempf, Mary Kempf, Michael Kempf and wife Tracy and Janice Turner; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends including Gerald and Caroline O‘Brien, Paul and Debbie Eiman and Darrell and Pam Snapp.
Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 14th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower
