Darlene McMillian

Darlene McMillian, 94, of Smithville, MO passed away, December 2, 2021.

She was born on October 8, 1927 to Albert Jean and Ruby Grace (Doak) Germann in Osborn, MO. Darlene graduated from Plattsburg High School.

On May 26, 1962 she was united in marriage to Charles McMillian, Sr. After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home. Her husband preceded her in death on April 28, 1999.

Darlene was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Smithville. She enjoyed reading and being outdoors.

Darlene was a cook at Smithville School District and retired as the kitchen supervisor.She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister Virginie German; brother Jean Germann; granddaughter, Kristi Brown; daughter-in-law, Carol Brown; and her son Larry Brown, Sr.

Darlene is survived by her brother, Rene Germann; sons, Bill Brown and Terry (Kelly) Brown; daughter-in-law, Roberta Brown; step-son, Charles (Elizabeth) McMillian, Jr; grandchildren, Larry (Yvonne) Brown, Jr. Tina (Scott) Kirtley, Bobby Brown, Billie (Kaci) Brown, Carrie Brown, Kimberly (Ben) Champlain, Randa Brown, Lexus Brown, Michelle McMillian, Jim (Sharlene) McMillian, and Glen (Susan) McMillian; numerous great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 8th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Smithville.

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial: Perrin Cemetery, Plattsburg, MO.

Donations may be made to the Perrin Cemetery.
