Darlene Amos
Naomi Darlene Amos, 83, of Agency, MO passed away March 26, 2025.
She was born on November 10, 1941, to Paul Amos and Euna Mae (Smith) Spiers in Winston, MO. Darlene graduated from North Platte High School in 1959.
On December 21, 1957, she was united in marriage to Delbert Gene Amos. After their marriage they lived in Edgerton, Dearborn and in 1960, they moved to the Frazier area where they made their home. Delbert passed away on March 10, 2004.
Delbert and Darlene owned Amos Construction for over 30 years where she did all the office work. They also owned Frazier General Store for several years.
Darlene was a member of the Frazier Baptist Church where she was a VBS teacher. She was also a member of the Farm Bureau Board and the East Buchanan FFA Alumni Association where she volunteered in various ways. Darlene was a 4-H leader and loved her garden and her flower garden. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities and would always babysit anytime she could. Most of all she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Delbert Amos; her son Kenny Amos; her brothers Don Spiers, Paul Spiers, Jim Spiers and Kelly Spiers and her sisters Mary Lanham, Ella Hackett and Ruth Nelson.
Darlene is survived by her son Gene Amos and wife Lana; her daughter Cindy Steele and husband Joel; grandchildren Janelle (Bobby) Matson, Kenny (Jackie) Jensen, Gennifer (John) Jensen, Jason (Emily) Steele, Danielle (Stephen) Norton, Amanda (BJ) Ford, Jake Amos; great-grandchildren Tyler Matson, Zander Matson, Jacob Jensen, Kalea White, Natalie Steele, Bryson Jensen, Lexi Jensen, Hunter Norton, Owen Ford, Hudson Amos, Harper Norton, Evan Ford, Colter Amos, and Palmer Amos; sisters Donna (Clinton) Mullendore and Sharon (Raymond) Crowder; sister-in-law Juanita (Neal) Routh; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 30th at Frazier Baptist Church, Agency, MO
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 31st at Frazier Baptist Church, Agency, MO.
Burial: Frazier Cemetery, Agency, MO
Donations may be made to Frazier Cemetery.
