Danny Lawson
Danny Lawson, 67, of Gower, MO passed away April 26, 2025.
He was born on November 21, 1957 to Gordon “Pop” and Joan (Winans) Lawson in St. Joseph, MO. Danny grew up in Gower and graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1976.
On June 12, 1976 he was united in marriage to Debbie Greer. After their marriage they lived in Gower where they made their home.
Danny worked for Johnson Controls and retired after 40 years. He was a member of the Gower Christian Church. Danny served on the Gower Fire Department and coached girls softball for many years. He was a lifelong fan of the Royals, the Chiefs, MU and the East Buchanan Bulldogs. Most of all, Danny enjoyed following his grandson Austin’s activities. He loved hosting their annual 4th of July celebration.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Debra Musser; and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Leonard Musser, Danny Cavin and Judy Greer.
Danny is survived by his wife, Debbie; daughters, Carmen Inman and Rhonda Lawson; grandson, Austin; sister-in-law, Linda Cavin; brother-in-law, Gary Greer; nieces and nephews, Rachael (Paul) Smith, David Cavin, Sherri (Jason) Cavin, Gary D. (Cosette) Greer, Dyana (Chris) Kubiak; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 1st at the Gower Christian Church AFC Building in Gower.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 30th at the Gower Christian Church AFC Building in Gower.
Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower, MO.
Donations may be made to Gower Christian Church AFC.

So sorry to hear this!! Danny was a wonderful man and his support for East Buch sports was unmatched. Danny always had a smile when he saw you. We played softball and basketball together and he always had that big smile on his face no matter how things went. He will be greatly missed.
