Dana Boyle

Dana Boyle, 55, of Platte County, MO passed away December 31, 2020.

She was born on May 25, 1965 to Marvin Dale and Nancy Marcella (Franke) Brown in Maryville, MO. Dana grew up in Smithville, MO and in 1983, she graduated from Smithville High School. Dana was a dance major at UMKC Conservatory and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Missouri Western State College in 1992. 

Dana was a former EP Clinical Recourse Nurse/Supervisor for St. Luke’s Cardiovascular Consultant, a former RN Care Coordinator at St. Luke’s Internal Medicine, a former RN Clinical Device Specialist/Supervisor at Biltmore Cardiology and was currently the Clinical Nurse Coordinator at the University of Kansas Health System Mid-America Cardiology. 

She was an avid dancer and was able to perform with the Boston Ballet and the St. Louis Ballet in the Nutcracker productions. Dana loved living a healthy lifestyle including weightlifting at KC Barbell and participating in many races, triathlons and marathons. She enjoyed fine dining, fine wines and fine coffees. Most of all Dana loved her cat Nyx and being with her family and friends.

Dana was preceded in death by her parents Dale and Nancy Brown and her brother Bruce Brown.

She is survived by her daughters Cecily (Seth) Thomas and Heather Boyle; grandsons Anthony and Vincent; sister Beth Asher; brother David (Carri) Brown; nieces and nephews Christopher (Kristen) Brown, Casey (Rob) Pugh, Erin (Brett) Buffum, Jonathon (Emma) Asher and Chesney Brown; her best friend Melanie Reeder; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 5:00 p.m. with Visitation following until 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 4th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville

Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday January 5th at Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville, MO.

Donations may be made to the Julia Bargman Hope Foundation.

    I like to express my most deepest condolences to her family and friends on such a great lost. Im in shocked and hearth broken, l wish l had had the chance to say one last good bye.
