In Remembrance Of

Dana “Allen” Jungk

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!” – Hunter S. Thompson

Dana “Allen” Jungk, 61, of Puerto Vallerta, formerly of St.
Joseph, passed away Saturday morning, July 18, 2015 surrounded by family. Allen
was born February 11th, 1954, in St. Joseph to Norman and Louise Jungk.

Allen was a musician. He was the piano man, the music man, a rock and roll man
who sometimes performed as Allen Young around the Lake of the Ozarks. A
life-long Royals fan who somehow ended up with three Cardinals fans as
children, he loved baseball, the beach, and his wife Lola more than anything.

In 2013 he moved with his wife to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and spent his days
fishing on the ocean, relaxing on the beach, and exploring the markets,
villages, and coast, refusing to waste a single day. He will be missed as a
husband, father, brother, and son.

He is preceded in death by his father Norman Jungk.

He is survived by his wife, Lola Jungk; his mother, Louise Jungk; daughters
Misti Heide and husband Brian, Amanda Jungk, and son Adam Jung; step-son Miguel
Gonzalez and wife Faydra, and step-daughter Carina Gonzalez; brothers Dave
Jungk, Don Jungk and wife Patty, Dale Jungk, Mark Jungk and wife Mary Beth; and
granddaughters Cadence Buckler, Macie and Emily Heide.

A
service and memorial rock concert will be held Saturday, July 25th at 7 pm at
The Community Courtyard, Plattsburg, MO.

Arrangements:  Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributing and committing to a trip
or adventure you may have been putting off. Rock on!
