Dale Moran

 Dale Moran, 76, of Savannah, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014.

 

He was born on September 11, 1938 to Lawrence Gene and Ellen Ruth (Allen) Moran in Huntsville, UT.  Dale grew up on a farm in rural Fillmore, MO.  In 1956 he graduated from Fillmore High School.  He then served his country in the US Marine Corps from 1956-1958.

 

On November 21, 1958 he was united in marriage to Connie Nelsen.  After their marriage they lived in Edgerton, MO.  After their retirement they moved to Savannah, MO.

 

Dale retired from General Motors Leeds Plant in Kansas City.  He was a member of the UAW and served as a union representative.  He also did concrete work.  Dale and Connie enjoyed traveling and being with their children and grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Gene and Ruth Moran; sister, Peggy Townsend-McKnight; mother-in-law and father-in-law Bud and Jimmie Nelsen and brothers-in-law Bill Barker, Benny Townsend, and Darryl Larned.

 

Dale is survived by his wife of 56 years Connie Moran; sons Bill (Deb) Moran and Jim Moran; grandchildren Cody Moran, Ann Marie (Randy) Carver, and Krista (Chris) Tharp; great-grandchildren Amber and Ryan Tharp, Hayden and Logan Carver and Michael Heath; sister Betty Barker and Sharon Larned; sister-in-law Kathy (Rodney) Brubeck; brother-in-law Jon McKnight; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends..  

 

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
