Dale E. Morgan

Dale Eugene Morgan, 83 of Faucett, MO passed away Monday, January 14, 2013.

 

He was born on January 13, 1930 to Eugene Arden and Fern Adelia (Coffey) Morgan in Clarksdale, MO.  In 1948, he graduated from Faucett High School.  Dale then served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a Technical Sergeant during the Korean War. 

 

On June 2, 1951 he was united in marriage to Twyla Kathleen Critchfield.  After their marriage they lived in Faucett, MO where they made their home.

 

He worked for Carter-Waters Corporation for 37 years. 

 

Dale was a member of the Faucett Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and was a charter member of the Faucett Cemetery Board.  He was a member of the Faucett Lion’s Club, Moila Temple Legion of Honor, and a 50 year member of Agency Lodge AF&AM.  Dale was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Masonic High Twelve Club #49, Shriners International, and the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. He was a member of the Democratic Club of Northwest Missouri and the Democratic Committeeman for Crawford Township.  Dale was past Democratic Chair of the 6th Congressional District, and appointed a MO Delegate to National Democratic Convention in 1976, by Senator Eagleton.  He was recipient the Jerry Litton Memorial Award in 1981 and the Harold Slater Memorial Award in 2010, presented by Northwest Missouri Progressive Democrats.  He was a Missouri Lions Eye Tissue Donor.  Dale was a very caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.

 

He is survived by his wife Twyla; children, Kathy Noland and husband Michael, Kayla Schoonover and husband Jon, Kerri House and husband Rick and Kenton Morgan and wife Tresa; grandchildren, Morgan and wife Lindsay, Cynthia, Jared and wife Lindy, Jonathan, Jacob, Kallie, James, Erin and husband Matthew, Stephanie, Taylor, Dale and Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Michael, Madi, Macy, Hayden and Camdyn; sisters, Donna Barnett, Nigel Adkins and husband Wayne and Alice Monaghan; sister-in-law Anna Smiley; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

 

Funeral Service:  11:00 a.m. Friday January 18th at Faucett Baptist Church.

Burial:  Faucett Cemetery

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Faucett Baptist Church Building Fund, 1000 SE Grand DD Faucett, MO.

Arrangements:  Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
