Dale B. Gibson

Dale
B. Gibson, 96, of Gower, MO formerly of Kansas City, MO passed away, Friday,
November 13, 2015 at the Gower Convalescent Center. 

 

He
was born on February 26, 1919 to William Carral and Lucy Arbelle (Brown) Gibson
in Brimson, Missouri where he grew up and attended school.

 

In
1937 Dale married Marilyn Betty Lovell. 
After their marriage they farmed in the Harrison County area.  In 1954 they moved to Kansas City.  Dale worked at Antioch Shopping Center as the
superintendent of building maintenance.
 
His wife, Marilyn, passed away in 1983.  
In 1978 Dale moved to Gower and was a small engine mechanic and tool
sharpener.
  In 1984 he married Margaret
Louise Hall and they made their home in Gower.
 
Margaret preceded him in death in 2013.

 

Dale
attended the Gower Christian Church for many years.

 

He
was also preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Mary Lovell and Fern Miller,
his son Tom Gibson.

 

Dale
is survived by his children, Delbert Gibson and wife Ann, West Plains, MO,
James Gibson and wife Sherry, Oklahoma City, OK, and Nancy Collins and husband
Clay, Lafayette, TN; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and
great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Packer and Faye Kim, several nieces
and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

 

Funeral
Services:  
11:00 a.m. Friday, November 20th
at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Gower with visitation one hour prior to the
service.

Graveside
Service: 
1:00 p,m. Friday at White
Chapel Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, MO.

    My life was made all the better when I met Dale Gibson.  I could tell from the git-go that he was a man of integrity, honesty, and faith.  I have only known him about a year and a half, but it sure was a wonderful time knowing this honorable man.  He will be sorely missed.
